Take an affordable road going AWD car, add a set of technical regulations allowing enough modification to make racing fast, competitive and safe without going overboard on cost. The ultimate performance is limited by compulsory weight limit of 1200kg and power limit of 400 bhp (at the fly wheel) and by only using OEM modifications these are ultimately drivers cars and can be prepared and run for a season on a relatively small budget. There is also an umlimited Class A category for the quickest saloon cars of all time!
We aim to bring this academy series into the public eye as much as modern technology allows with appearances on Sky Sports and Motors
TV. With celebrity guest drivers from past and present, we are also
proposing to produce a television documentary following the thrills of being a racing driver.
With a huge range of amateur and experienced drivers ranging between 19 and 70 years old and a very level playing field of exciting cars this promises to produce some of the best saloon racing of all time, particularly in the typical English wet weather!
